Gulf University is accredited by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and most GCC countries.

Gulf University is chartered by the decree issued by the Cabinet of the Prime Minister statute 1649-03, dated 02/09/2001, pertaining to the project of establishing Gulf University on 17/09/2001, license of which was issued by the Ministry of Education to establish Gulf University. In accordance, legal authority conceded Gulf University in order to commence infrastructure, curriculum framework and relevant tasks and responsibilities.
