PRESIDENT'S HONOR LIST
GU recognizes outstanding academic performance through the publication of the President's List during the successful term. Students who qualify for the President's List receive a letter of commendation at the end of the term.
To qualify for the President's Honor List, a student should:
- have a term G.P.A. of at least 3.5;
- not have been found guilty by GU of any major offences;
- not have a grade below 2.00 in any academic subject;
- not have a more than a one W for one term;
- have a load of at least fifteen academic units;
- not have "Failed" or incurred an "Repeat" in any academic or non-academic subject.
Awards Information
The first Outstanding Students Awards ceremony took place on March 23rd, 2004. Outstanding Students are selected based on their accomplishments in such areas as academic performance, professionalism, and leadership. Fatima Haider was honored as the most outstanding student from the College of Business , Management, Law and Finance.
Sadeem Al Kuwaiti was also honored as the most outstanding student from the College of Computer Engineering and Info rmation Systems. Each student received Certificates of Achievement presented by President of the Gulf University, Dr. Mona Rashid Al-Zayani.
Certificates of Recognition were also distributed in recognition of continuous academic improvement to Hamad Al Khalifa, Abdullah Al Munif, Aziz Jalal, Salah Al-Ghamdi, and Reem Al-Sagri.
Certificates of Appreciation for significant contributions to the Gulf University Student Union were distributed to Nawaf Al Mahmeed, Asra Aziz, Noora Busheri, and Khalid Abdul Ghani. |
