Multicultural Ramadan Potluck Iftar

Gulf University organized a Ramadan potluck Iftar, bringing together its academic and administrative staff in a spirit of unity. The event celebrated cultural diversity, with participants sharing traditional dishes where best dishes from the different nationalities represented by GU faculty and staff were awarded 1st, 2nd and third place winners by voting, reflecting the university’s commitment to a positive and inclusive work environment

Exhibition and awareness workshops in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior

Gulf University and the Centre for Community Service and Continuing Education at Gulf University organized an awareness exhibition and workshops in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, to promote sustainable security and safety culture.

Walk & Talk: Steps to Success

Gulf University faculty members have participated in the “Walk & Talk: Steps to Success” initiative, organized by The Community Engagement and Continuing Education Center. This event aligns with the Ministry of Health’s “Let’s Walk” program, promoting physical activity and meaningful interactions among students, academic advisors, faculty, and administrative staff. Together, we take steps towards a healthier future! 

First Aid Workshop – Emergency Response Training

As part of its commitment to promoting health awareness and building community resilience, Gulf University, through the Community Engagement and Continuing Education Center, organized a public First Aid Workshop focused on emergency response and basic life-saving skills. The workshop was open to the public and witnessed the active participation of over 35 trainees, including: 

    • Students and staff from Gulf University 
    • Administrative personnel from various colleges 
    • Students from local schools 
    • Community members from the wider public 

Participants received hands-on training in essential first aid techniques, including CPR, wound care, and emergency response protocols, led by certified professionals in a supportive and interactive setting.

Diabetes Awareness Race: Promoting a Healthier Lifestyle

As part of its World Diabetes Day campaign, Gulf University organized a Diabetes Awareness Race to promote healthy living and encourage physical activity in the community. The event attracted a wide participation of students, faculty, and external attendees who ran in solidarity with those affected by diabetes. 

The race not only fostered a spirit of well-being and social responsibility but also raised awareness about the importance of exercise in diabetes prevention and overall health. 

This initiative complemented the broader awareness event and reinforced Gulf University’s role in achieving SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being through active community engagement.
