Marking its prominent academic presence and pioneering role in developing the education sector, Gulf University participated in the 7th edition of the Middle East and North Africa Higher Education Leadership Forum (MENA-HELF), organized by the Centre for Learning Innovations and Customized Knowledge Solutions (CLICKS) in September 2026 under the theme: “Global Challenges, Local Impact: The Role of Higher Education in Shaping a Resilient Future.” This exceptional event brings together an elite group of higher education leaders, decision-makers, and industry experts from more than fifty countries to discuss climate change, digital disruptions, and economic transformations, charting the course toward a more resilient and sustainable future for academic institutions.

In this context, Dr. Meryem Fati, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Gulf University, emphasized that higher education institutions today face radical transformations that require them to reshape their strategies to foster innovation and enhance institutional resilience. She noted that the university’s participation stems from its firm commitment to keeping pace with the latest global developments. She explained that the forum represents a vital platform for exchanging insights, strengthening strategic partnerships, and showcasing best practices. Given that the agenda is rich with interactive panel sessions, innovation exhibitions, and celebrating the winners of the Zairi Excellence Awards, it presents an ideal opportunity to highlight the university’s achievements and qualitative contributions to elevating the quality of higher education locally and regionally, reinforcing its position as an active educational pillar in the “Think Tank” aimed at shaping the future of the education sector.
